U.S. 20 is an east-west, coast-to-coast highway stretching more than 3,300 miles across the northern United States between Boston, Massachusetts, and Newport, Oregon.
In addition to Massachusetts and Oregon, U.S. 20 passes through New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho.
The term "coast-to-coast" is really a misnomer, though. The highway takes travelers to the eastern entrance to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and resumes at the western entrance in Montana. The road in the park is not designated as U.S. 20.
