Missouri 79

Missouri 79, also known as Missouri's Great River Road, stretches approximately 90 miles from its junction with Interstate 70 just west of St. Charles, Missouri, to downtown Hannibal, Missouri.

Hannibal ... that would be the home of some guy who called himself Mark Twain. Wrote a couple of famous books or something.

The highway parallels the Mississippi River and, from Clarksville, Missouri, north to Hannibal, Missouri 79 lies within sight of the mighty river in many places.
