Iowa Highways

Iowa, also known as the Hawkeye State, is an upper Midwestern state bordered by Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota. The Mississippi River forms Iowa's entire eastern border.

The capital and largest city of Iowa is Des Moines.

Among the key two-lane highways that run through the state are U.S. 20, U.S. 30 (the Lincoln Highway), U.S. 61 and U.S. 69.

Scenic drives include the Great River Road along the Mississippi and the Loess Hills Scenic Byway in western Iowa.
