American Road magazine "celebrates our two-lane highways of yesteryear ... and the joys of driving them today."
Published by Mock Turtle Press, this is the "king of the road" when it comes to road magazines. It's a quarterly and each issue is filled with features on the history and the future of some of the country's most famous roads -- Route 66, the National Road, the Old Spanish Trail, the Yellowstone Trail, Lincoln Highway and others. Additionally, you can keep abreast of events that celebrate the old highways, as well.
Can you guess why this magazine is listed first? Yeah, I read it from cover to cover when I get a copy. Easily, my favorite magazine on the market. (Not that there's anything wrong with any of the others ...)
