Everything you ever wanted to know about the hosts of Redhighways.com
Once again, welcome to Redhighways.com.
We thank you for stopping by and hope you find something of value on our Web site -- either a place you've overlooked during your own travels or a new resource to assist you as you plan your future road trips.
As mentioned on the home page, Susan and I take every opportunity to get off the interstate and explore this country's lesser-traveled U.S. and state highways. (That's us on the right. I'll let you decide if those are bunny ears or devil horns ...)
In Susan's case, I think it is only natural for her to be at ease on two-lane pavement because, quite frankly, that's about all she knew growing up in Olney, Illinois, along U.S. 50 and Illinois 130.
On the other hand, I grew up in the shadow of Interstate 70 as it cuts through the southern edge of Terre Haute, Indiana. As far as I'm concerned, no place is worth going to if you can't get there by driving a winding, hilly highway.
About This Site
Susan and I both have a background in journalism and Redhighways.com gives us an outlet to share with others the places we've been to, the sights we've seen and ways to increase your enjoyment of exploring backroads America on its two-lane highways.
As a matter of fact, as I write this in late spring 2007, we are in the midst of making plans for a summer vacation through four Midwestern states. (This trip will include stops at several wineries -- a recent addition to our planned activities when we wander ...)
But I remember our first discussion about creating this Web site. Great idea, but neither one of us knew much about building a site from scratch. Search Engine Optimization? Huh? Java? That still means coffee at our house. HTML? Yeah, I knew how to make type bold or italicized, but that was about the extent of it.
Then, I read about Site Build It!, a package of Web site creation tools that helps anyone -- whether you're a 'Net newbie or an experienced Internet geek -- create a professional Web site from scratch.
SBI!'s tools not only will help you build a Web site, they will show you how to drive traffic to your site and how to earn an income from the site, as well.
But don't be fooled. SBI! is not a "get-rich-quick" scheme. The tools show you the way, but it's your hard work and determination (with a little creativity thrown into the mix) that will utimately determine your success.
Anyone, regardless of their Internet experience, can build a magical (and profitable) Web site with the help of SBI!
To find out more about this amazing set of site-building tools, watch the video below. And stay tuned after the video for a pair of free offers at the bottom of the page.
Two Free Downloads
Now, if that video didn't get you thinking about what you might accomplish on the Internet, I'm going to give you a free e-book.
(Actually, I have two e-books I'm giving away. Take one or both, if you want.)
The first free e-book is dedicated to Stay-At-Home Moms (or Dads). Want to change Stay-At-Home Mom to Work-At-Home Mom (or Dad)?
"WAHM-IT!, The Masters Course" will show you how. Four Work-At-Home Moms (WAHMs), the course's authors, will introduce you to a work solution that "fits" naturally with your family needs and yet is rewarding, exciting and soul-satisfying.
This free e-book shows anyone (from newbie to those already enjoying success) how to attract potential clients and convert them into paying customers that want your service!
The "Service Sellers Masters Course" will help you build a theme-based content site that also firmly establishes your credibility, inspires trust and gets that all important first phone call or e-mail from a prospective client who wants to learn more about your service and to hire you for the job.
Don't wait any longer. If you would like to acquire all of the tools necessary to build a Web site like Redhighways.com, download one (or both) of the free e-books and discover how you can do it, too.
